Person shot on 7th Street Sunday

An individual was shot three to four times in the 1400 block of Seventh Street around 2 a.m. Sunday morning.

The victim was airlifted after the incident to an unknown location, according to information heard over the police scanner.

A description given over the scanner described the suspect as a 5-foot-10-inch, 200 pound black male with a white coat bearing colors on it.

The shooting took place a few houses down from the second stop on the Unofficial house crawl schedule, which was located at 1415 Seventh Street. The shooting also took place down the block from a shooting that killed Byron Edingburg, 23, an Eastern student in 2017.
