Friday marks deadline to drop classes for full tuition refund

Staff Report

The deadline to drop any classes with a full refund of tuition and fees is 11:59 p.m. on Jan. 18.

In an email sent out by the Office of the Registrar, students need to log into their PAWS account and drop the courses they are not taking from their schedule.

To drop a course, students should go to the student tab in PAWS, click on registration and then click on the “Add or Drop Classes” option.

From there, students can select the current term and will need to enter their Alternate PIN for the term, which can be obtained from an adviser.

In the action column, there will be a box by each course where students can use the drop-down menu and select the “Drop Web” option.

Then, scroll to the bottom of the page and select “Submit Changes.”

According to an email sent out by the Office of the Registrar, by following these steps the course will be dropped and the screen will refresh, showing that the course was deleted.

If students have a hold on their record and are unable to drop a course, they need to contact the Office of the Registrar either in person or by sending request from the student’s panthermail email address before the deadline.

The office is located at 1220 Old Main, and the email address is [email protected].

Dropping a course cannot be done over the phone, according to the email.

For any questions or assistance, call the Office of the Registrar at 217-581-3831.
