Consolidated Communications contributed $5,000 to the Community Ambassador Scholarship at Eastern.

The Community Ambassador Scholarship is a program that promotes local high school students to stay in the area, and continue their education at Eastern, according to a press release.

According to the press release, like other local businesses, Consolidated Communications benefits greatly from Eastern alumni, programs and services.

The company hosted a check presentation (for the $5,000) in May at their Mattoon headquarters.
