Candidate for Director of Student Disability Services to be interviewed Wednesday

The first candidate for the Director of Student Disability Services will be interviewed at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Room 1116 of 9th Street Hall.

April Jackson, an assistant principal in Champaign and an Eastern alumna, will be interviewed for the position.

According to Jackson’s resume, she has been an assistant principal since June 2017 and was formerly the special education administrator from July 2009 to June 2017. She was a special education teacher from August 2004 to June 2009.

Jackson received her bachelor’s degree in special education from Eastern in 2004 and received her master’s degree in general education studies from Olivet Nazarene University in 2006. Then she went on to receive her master’s in special education, masters in education administration, general masters, Director of Special Education and Certification in Educational Administration from Illinois State University from 2006-2009, according to her resume.
