The Eastern men’s swimming team earned the the Summit League Team Academic Achievement Award for outstanding work in the classroom for the 2017-18 academic year.

According to a press release, the Summit League announced its Commissioner’s List of Academic Excellence to honor student athletes for outstanding academic success.

Eastern an associate member of The Summit League in men’s soccer, men’s and women’s swimming, placed 18 student athletes total on the list.  In addition, the men’s swimming team earned The Summit League Team Academic Achievement Award, according to the press release.

According to the press release, In order for a student athlete to be selected for the list, they must carry a 3.50 or better cumulative GPA, have used a year of eligibility and completed one academic year at the nominating institution.
