The Charleston Carnegie Public Library will be hosting activities including Lego Club, Make and Take and Astronomy.

‘Make and Take’ will be on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m in the KidSpace Atrium. This activity provides participants with the tools to be creative.

Day Time Astronomy will be viewing and discussing lunar craters with a telescope and sun spots using a projection telescope, with guided viewing and an informal Q&A on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the parking lot.

The monthly Lego Club will take place on Wednesday from 4-5:15 p.m. in Rotary Room A for children grades K-8. A show-and-tell from 5-5:15 p.m. will allow participants to show off their work.

Beth Lugar, the library’s youth services manager, said there were three rules during Lego Club: “Share, Clean up and No Legos in anyone’s orifices.”

Children under eight must be accompanied by an adult during  ‘Make and Take’ and Lego Club. Children under 13 need an adult during Day Time Astronomy.

All activities are free and open to the public.
