The Charleston Police Department has issued the following statement:

 

The City of Charleston is asking for the public’s help in identifying a vehicle believed to have been in involved in a hit and run. On September 21st, 2014 at 1557 hrs, officers of the Charleston Police Department responded to 4th and Grant in regards to a female victim who had been struck by a vehicle that immediately fled the area. In speaking with witnesses the vehicle is described as an aqua green full size truck with a regular cab.

Anyone who has information is asked to contact the Charleston Police Department at 217-345-8422, or message us through Facebook. Information can also be left by contacting Coles County Crime Stoppers at 866-345-8488, all information is anonymous.
