    Third UPD chief candidate talks student-officer relationships

  • Associate Vice-President for Enrollment Management Josh Norman, and Jeffery Stowell, a psychology professor present a proposal to the Council of Academic Affairs about reducing the current recidency hours requirement for transfer students at the Thursday, Oct. 21, CAA meeting held in the Witters Conference Room. The proposal suggests that the current requirement of 40 credit hours be reduced to 30. The council approved of the vote with only one member, Billy Hung, not in favor.

  • Homecoming Queen Jacqueline Williams, a senior kinesiology major,  is honored by the crowd at Homecoming Coronation. Coronation was held Monday night in the MLK Union Grand Ballroom. Williams said when it was announced that she won, she couldn’t believe she had won and that she stood there shocked for a moment.

  • Andrew Martin, choral conductor, conducts concert choir class on the Mellin Steps on March 21, 2021. Martin explained because singing is an aerosol activity and COVID protocols only a group of ten can sing inside. Now the group can expand because they can sing outside in the warm weather.

  • Intrem Speaker Katelynn Alexander, a senior political science major was elected into the intrem speaker position at the Oct. 20 Student Government meeting. Unlike the past two meetings, this meeting was the first to meet quorum since Sept. 26. This will be Alexander’s second semester serving in the Student Senate.
