What: “It’s a Wonderful Life”

Where: The Theater in Doudna Fine Arts Center

Details: The “live broadcast” of Frank Capra’s film will take the audience back to the Golden Age of Radio. The WVL studio’s “On Air” sign lights up and the heartwarming holiday classic comes to life through the bygone radio formula of a few hardworking actors, live sound effects – and a listener’s imagination. It is produced byNorth Carolina Stage CompanyandImmediate Theatre Project. See page 3B for more details.

Off-campus event: Fear and Loathing in Chuck Vegas

When: 2 p.m.-1 a.m.

Where: Friends & Co.

Cost: $10

Details: The same people who organized the Woodchuck Festival of Music and Art are hosting this day long concert series at Friends.

There will be two costume contests, a Hunter S. Thompson look-a-like contest and a Fear and Loathing costume contest.

The bands include Astro Boogie Productions, Dog of Panic, GURG, The Hearsay, Weather Underground, Big Wig Mechanic, Little Boy Jr., Spread and BrainChild.

Off-campus event: Senior Week at the Penalty Box Bar and Grill

When: All weekend

Where: Penalty Box Bar and Grill

Details: As the semester is coming to an end. The Penalty Box wants to send off the graduating seniors with a week-long celebration. Every day of the week they will be doing Dollar Days, which includes $1 specials on domestic cans, mixed drinks and shots. Live DJ’s will be performing each night.

What: Graduate Student Egg-Stravaganza

When: 7-11 p.m.

Where: Klehm Hall Room 1418

Cost: Free

Details: All graduate students are invited to join GSAC and The Graduate School to enjoy a free breakfast food feast to gear- up for finals week.
